SpiLa was born from a simple belief: everyone deserves to feel safe while having fun. We're building more than a product—we're building a movement.
From bars and clubs to house parties and festivals, SpiLa helps you keep control of your drink. If someone lifts your lid or tampers with your cup, the sensor detects it and sends an alert straight to your phone.
Drink spiking and predatory behavior in nightlife spaces are real problems—especially for women between 21 and 35.
Nights out that should be fun and freeing too often come with fear, anxiety, and "What if?" questions.
She's heard the stories. She's seen the headlines. Maybe she's had her own close call.
We listened to women who said:
• "I hate having to hover over my drink all night."
• "I've left a drink unfinished because I stepped away and didn't feel safe."
• "I just want to go out and have fun without worrying constantly."
We knew something had to change.
SpiLa started with a simple question:
"What if a drink lid could be smart enough to alert you if someone messes with your drink?"
From there, we:
• Studied existing anti-spiking products and listened to what women liked—and what was missing.
• Collected survey feedback from our target audience to understand their fears, habits, and what they actually would use.
• Learned that women wanted something reusable, discreet, stylish, and tech-enabled, not a one-time gimmick.
SpiLa was built from those conversations: a product designed not in a lab alone, but in direct response to the
real lives and stories of women who go out.
